Today the 7/2/03 was
the grades 4,5,and 6 2nd session of Tae-Kwan-Do, which means:
Foot-Fist-Way. Karate means empty- hand-way. We once again we took off our
socks and shoes and then we did our warm ups. After that we were in
business!
We did two different
types of kicks they were the snap kick which was a straight up kick, and the
turn kick where we had to lift our knees and rotate our other foot. We
kicked a red pad with the flat of our foot so it didn’t hurt! We also had to
remember to shout when we kick.
We also did some
punches; we did high, middle and low punches. We were asked to close our
eyes when we did some of the punches, because then we focused on what we
were doing instead of what everybody else was doing.
“I give you the same
respect as you give me” these where the words of Tony. To end the session we
bowed to show respect, then we put our shoes and socks back on and the
little kids came in to start their session. We all had a fantastic time! |
